Results – week 8

  • Hips 41.5″ (-0.5″)
  • BMI – 27.2 (no change)
Measurements are compared against week 6 results / images compared to first week pictures

Although I may not look too different I’ve started to notice a difference in how I’m feeling; I’m less sluggish and believe this may be down to my awareness of what I’m eating. I’m not going to lie, we’ve still indulged in a Chinese takeaway and a Domino’s this past fortnight – but I am now more conscious of it; how much I eat and the best for me, when to stop!

Skipping has been (temporarily) ‘skipped’ as I’ve been able to go to the gym – this month so far I’ve attended my local Everyone Active centre as often as I can and have attended Megamix – 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strength training, and 20 minutes of stretching and core. Les Mills Body Pump – an intense workout with weights, Les Mills Body Combat – a high intensity aerobic-style session taking inspiration from many forms of martial arts and Pilates.

I’m slowly improving my base level fitness, and have also enjoyed trying some new activities. I was particularly surprised at how much I enjoyed Pilates and will be trying my best to maintain this.

As you may have read I am currently in the middle of a 14 day teatox which I will be sure to update you on when I finish in 2 weeks time. For the remainder of this month I will be continuing my teatox, attending more sessions at the gym and also researching Veganism, as I am considering this for February. Also, keep an eye out for my end of the month blog which will review all of my initiatives for January – holistic month.
